Every day in this country 22 veterans take their own lives. They die with their demons, oftentimes forgotten and alone. It doesn't have to be that way. The only thing I have ever wanted as a veteran is for my fellow veterans to be remembered; their sacrifices and efforts recognized and appreciated. Together, we can make this happen. We can make sure no veteran is forgotten!
- THERE IS NO FATE WORSE THAN BEING FORGOTTEN -
There are a number of organizations and businesses who contribute to veteran causes. Below are just a few of the ones I highly recommend. You can click any of the links below to be taken directly to their webpages and decide which program is right for you!
One afternoon, a scrawny orange and white cat showed up in our platoon area at FOB Marez in Northern Iraq. In the middle of a war zone, that goofy cat provided us with a ray of sunshine, normalcy, and dare I say, hope.
Small bits of happiness like that cannot be found by many veterans here at home - which is a damn shame.
Never underestimate how much help even the smallest of gestures can provide. You too can be a ray of hope in the life of a veteran. Visiting any of the links on this page is a great start to accomplishing just that!
If you are looking for an awesome way to support a veteran owned business and make sure money goes to honor fallen veterans and to help prevent veteran suicide as well, please visit:
Til Valhalla Project!
Their clothing line is phenomenal and their messages are ones to embrace - especially Be Kind!
Please note, I am not paid to endorse Til Valhalla Project in any way! I receive nothing for this recommendation, except the knowledge a worthwhile company has perhaps been visited!

Hometown Hero Outdoors
It is tough to see the logo on my cap, but I'm repping a lid from Hometown Hero Outdoors. This is also a phenomenal organization which helps get veterans outside, providing them opportunities to shoot, fish, trap, hunt, and most importantly, socialize. Reminding veterans their sacrifices are appreciated!
I highly recommend all of these companies. I am not paid to endorse them, nor do they endorse me. They simply make some of the best outdoor equipment on the market and support some of the outdoor causes closest to my heart. Whether making sure outdoor habitat and big game are preserved for future generations or making sure we have the best equipment available when we go afield, you can't go wrong with any of these companies - in my opinion of course!
